How to set up call forwarding
To have your AI receptionist answer when you're busy or after hours, set up call forwarding on your existing business line.
Bell Canada
- From your business phone, dial *21*[your Callara number]# and press call to enable unconditional forwarding (all calls go to the AI).
- OR for busy/no-answer only: dial **004*[your Callara number]# (forwards when busy, no answer, or unreachable).
- To verify: call your business number from another phone — you should hear the AI answer.
- To turn off forwarding: dial #21# for unconditional, or ##004# for conditional.
Rogers
- From your business phone, dial *72 then your Callara number, then press call. You'll hear a confirmation tone.
- OR for conditional forwarding (busy/no-answer): dial *68 then Callara number.
- To verify: call your business number from another phone.
- To turn off: dial *73 then press call.
Telus / Koodo
- Dial *21* then your Callara number then # and press call.
- OR conditional: *61* + Callara number + # for no-answer; *67* + number + # for busy.
- Disable: ##21# for unconditional, ##61# / ##67# for conditional.
Videotron
- Dial *72 then your Callara number, then press call.
- OR busy/no-answer: dial 84 from your home phone, listen for the prompt, then enter your Callara number.
- Disable: dial *73 to cancel forwarding.
Fido
- Dial *72 then Callara number then call. Wait for confirmation tone.
- Conditional: dial *68 + Callara number.
- Cancel: *73.
Public Mobile / Chatr
- These prepaid carriers vary — log into your self-serve account online and look for 'Call Forwarding' settings, OR dial *72 (most lines support it).
- If *72 doesn't work, contact your carrier — call forwarding may need to be activated on your plan.
Recommended: Start with conditional forwarding (busy / no-answer) for week 1, listen to the transcripts, then switch to unconditional forwarding once you're confident.
