SMS CONSENT
How Callara sends text messages
What messages we send
Callara sends SMS on behalf of the businesses that use our AI receptionist. These messages are conversational and transactional: a text-back when your call was missed, booking confirmations, links sent during a call, and two-way SMS replies in a conversation you started. Every automated message identifies the business it's sent for.
Consent basis
You receive a text only because you contacted the business first — by calling or texting its number. That inquiry is the basis of consent: our messages respond to your request, they don't solicit one. Every automated first message includes opt-out instructions.
Opting out — STOP
Reply STOP or STOPALL (or UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, ARRÊT) to any message and the opt-out is honored instantly at the carrier level — you will not receive further messages from that number. No extra steps, no confirmation required.
CASL compliance
Our messaging practices follow Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL): clear sender identification, consent grounded in your own inquiry, and a working unsubscribe mechanism in every automated message. Messages sent in the United States also carry the opt-out language required by US messaging standards.
Message frequency and rates
Message frequency varies with your conversation with the business — there are no scheduled recurring sends. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply.
No marketing spam
Callara numbers are not used for bulk campaigns or unsolicited advertising. Every message exists to complete the conversation you started with the business — nothing more.
